Prenatal Yoga

Mondays
6:30pm – 7:30pm
May 13 – June 10

(Excludes May 27 – Memorial Day)

Hosted by Jennifer Galgano

Prenatal yoga is for both the new and seasoned yoga practitioner and is the perfect practice during pregnancy. Classes begin with community, a time to connect with other moms, followed by a prenatal yoga practice. These sessions place an emphasis on breath as a tool for pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. The practice incorporates stretching, strengthening, and mobility exercises, as well as, meditation, breathing, and relaxation techniques to support the pregnant body and to help prepare mentally and emotionally for labor and delivery.

Jen is a certified yoga instructor, fitness enthusiast, wife, and mom to two humans and one dog, who loves to help people feel better through yoga and movement. Jen loves to help people get to know how their bodies move, and show them how they can move in a sustainable way no matter their age or where they are in life. She provides students the space to cultivate an embodied experience allowing them to notice, sense, and feel what is happening on the inside with a sense of curiosity, playfulness, and compassion. Jen views yoga as a tool to move better and feel better in everyday life. Her classes are intentionally designed to incorporate functional movements, corrective exercise techniques to counter the effects of modern day postural tendencies, and balance both strength and mobility. In addition to the physical practice, an emphasis on functional breath is used to strengthen both the body and the mind-body connection.

Sound Bath Meditation

Friday, April 12
6:00pm – 7:15pm

Hosted by Marina Kogan

We will start with chanting and short guided meditation to relax the body and mind. This will be followed by opening our chakras to allow us to receive everything we need as we head into the new season. After that there will be time to clear and energize the front of the body to enhance our ability to shine our pure essence into the world. We will conclude the session with sound bath.

Rest & Restore

Sunday, April 21
11:30am – 1:00pm

Hosted by Sarah Rusin & Yvonne King

Join us for a 90-minute restorative experience with the intention of settling the body, calming the mind, and restoring balance to the nervous system. This workshop will incorporate long held postures, bringing the body into a state of comfort and ease. Once settled in, what a better way to compliment this experience than with a sound healing meditation. Participants will experience the frequencies, tones, and rhythms of a variety of drums, chimes, crystals, and Himalayan bowls. A truly unique experience.
